Hello My Name Is...
Phong Trinh
I was born in Saigon, Vietnam and came to the United States at age 5. I grew up in Augusta, Georgia where The Masters golf tournament is played. I graduated from Evans High School which is just outside of Augusta. I went to Georgia Tech and later received my Ph.D. in economics from Texas A&M University. I have taught economics at two universities in Arkansas as well as a graduate student at Texas A&M University. After my college teaching career was over I became a high school math teacher. I have taught high school math in Arkansas as well as Georgia prior to coming to the Perry Center.
